I was born 1 April 1961 in New Bern, North Carolina to the proud parents of James
Cutler and Annie Boone Cutler. The first of three siblings, I was raised by my mother to
be honest and dedicated to everything that I do in life and to always be prepared for the
rough times in life that may come your way. Always remembering that when you need
guidance to turn to God as he is our creator and will always lead you the right way.
I matriculated through the North Carolina Public School System with zeal and
determination. Upon completion from high school, I went to St. Augustine’s College in
Raleigh N.C. for a short period of two years. Immediately after the second year, during
the summer of 1982, I joined the U.S. Army where I served my country with pride and
dedication. After serving 11 years in the active-duty capacity, I later joined the Navy
reserves, then returned to the Army reserves where I ended My Military career.
During my military career, I was fortunate and blessed to travel abroad and experience
new and exciting adventures. While I was traveling throughout my military career, I
came across many brothers that took me under there wing and taught me many things
and to most of all be patient and that good things would come. Since that time, I have
been traveling in an easterly direction seeking and desiring more light in Prince Hall
Masonry.
