Over the past fifty years, my country has been part of globalization. And, like
everything in the world, globalization has also had positive and negative effects in
Ecuador.
I. Globalization has had positive effects for my country
a) Science and technology advances has helped my country and its
developing.
b) Contact with foreign people allows Ecuadorians to learn about their
cultures and traditions
c) Tourism in Ecuador has increased because of its touristic places and
delicious food recognized around the world
II. Globalization has had negative effects for my country
a) Environmental pollution has increased because of the industries’
process.
b) The spread of diseases has increased thanks to the fact that foreigners
have contact with natives.
c) With the passage of time Ecuadorian traditions have been lost
because people acquire cultures from other places.

The effects of Globalization on Ecuador
Globalization is the integration of societies, economies, and cultures of worldwide
through the process of technology, politic, and trade. Over the past fifty years, my country
has been part of globalization. And, like everything in the world, globalization has also
had positive and negative effects in Ecuador.
Globalization in Ecuador has had some advantages. The first one is [the advance
of science and technology.] [People around the world are connected through mobile
phones and internet.] So that, [it is easier for Ecuadorians to be aware of what is happening
around the world.] Also, [globalization allows people to learn about new cultures and
traditions because of the contact between foreigners and Ecuadorians.] Finally, [thanks to
globalization, tourism in Ecuador has increased in recent years.] [Ecuador has gained fame
because of its touristic places and its typical dishes.]
Unfortunately, globalization has also had disadvantages in my country.
