crossing is Sports Street, also
aptly named. Here can be
found the recreation reserve
where the football oval is,
and the famed Manangatang
Races are held on the second
Saturday in October. On that
day thousands of visitors can
be seen in this area, having a
good day out with friends and Now Manangatang has
enjoying the thrill of placing a merged with Tooleybuc on
bet on a favourite horse. the football field, but the
tradition of belonging to
a football team remains
strong in Manangatang, and
it is an important social and
cultural hub for the young
people of the town.
