“ruly” pet over an unruly one any day and for me that means tropical hish.
Partners who slip away from one another do so by developing parallel lives. They become too busy for one another. They become friendly room mates who come and go on different schedules. Sometimes pictures help to explain things...
I use a simple set of diagrams to show different patterns of newness in relationships. These will not offer any tremendous insights but they do inspire practical wisdom.
LOTS OF OVERLAP...
This diagram represents partners who cannot bring much newness into a relationship because their lives and interests overlap so signihicantly. These partners wear the same sneakers. They listen to the same music. They hinish each other’s sen-ten-ces. They might be so obsessed with one another that their sameness makes newness tough to bring into a relationship. When newness does come into a relationship they bring it in together, which might work just hine. But they might fail because partners don’t step outside their circle to bring something back their partner might not expect.
