The one-day National Tax Conference organized by AIFTP West Zone along with Central Gujarat
Chamber of Tax Consultant is named as 'Arthyog. This word is derived from the word “Artha Shastra”;
just as yoga helps to keep one's mind and body in good shape, this one-dayArthyog would definitely
help the tax consultants to update and maintain their knowledge on the Direct and Indirect Tax in
perfect form.

The one-day tax conference further intends to illuminate the tax horizons. This is one of the
most noble purpose.

The Indirect Tax laws particularly GST is a dynamic law. The speed with which the law is
evolving, a tax consultant must be equally dynamic. We at AIFTP thrive to ensure that our members
are kept updated . Similar is the case with direct tax. The faceless assessment and appeal were meant
to reduce the hardship of a tax payer ,but the fact is otherwise.

Advocate Bhaskar Patel of Baroda along with Advocate Samir Jani, the Deputy President of
AIFTP have designed the programme to cover the important aspects of day-to-day importance under
direct and indirect tax. The learned speakers and the equally learned and senior Chairman and
Chairpersons would be the guiding force to illuminate the path of knowledge for all the participants.

My congratulations to the entire team who have worked day and night to make this programme
which I am sure, would be a grand success. I am equally positive that at the end of this program, all the
participants would be fully loaded with knowledge and solutions to their problems .which would help
them in their day-to-day practice.
