               3.1    Karup Air Space


               We are now on our way, and out of contact with Herning Radio.




               3.1.1   Radiocontact with EKKA – Karup Tower


               Contact must be established with Karup, and in VFG we can see the following:





















               As you can see, there are many frequencies to choose from.

               When we go to the control zone, it is Karup Tower that we must call, so that the

               frequency 119.580 is tuned in on the radio.




               The  illustration  shows  our

               machine  on  its  way  to

               Report  Point  Ikast  at  1300

               feet below TMA.


               The  airspace  we  are  in  is
               Class G airspace.


               If we get above 1500 feet,

               we  are  up  in  Karup  TMA,

               which is Class D airspace, and we are not allowed to do that without permission

               from Karup Approach, which is the unit that decides up there!
