5.13 INITIAL MESSAGE
When flying under VFR an aircraft may change frequency to establish communications

with an aeronautical station to obtain:

                 • some form of service (FIS, RIS) from an ATSU or

                 • clearance to penetrate a CTR/TMA or
                 • clearance to enter controlled airspace under special VFR

The initial call should include the callsign unit you call followed by your full callsign.

The ATSU will answer by mentioning your call sign followed by the call sign of the ATSU.
And that is an invitation for you to pass your message.

              6. WEATHER

Knowledge of weather conditions likely to be encountered during flight is essential

to the safe operation of aircraft. However, weather conditions change and
therefore a convenient system to supply the latest information is required. To be

effective these sources and the terms used must be globally understood.

              6.1 ATC ATIS VOLMET

A pilot in flight can gain weather information from several sources; the main
              sources are: ATC, ATIS, VOLMET

In all of these, standard met terms should be used and the information is

transmitted slowly and enunciated clearly so that the data can be written
              down by the flight crew.
