Air Law

                EASA FCL currently consists of:

                    - Part 1: Requirements for airplane pilots

                    - Part 2: Requirements for helicopter pilots

                    - Part 3: Medical requirements

The benefit of the new regulations is to harmonize pilot training, so pilots can

work in all countries that have joined EASA without converting their certificates.

                1.8.4.2 Definitions

                aircraft for hire.

                Proficiency Check

A demonstration of proficiency in connection with the continued validity or

renewal of a rating, including any oral examination required by the examiner.

                Renewal

An administrative action carried out after a rating or approval has expired,

renewing it for a specified period, provided certain requirements are met.

                Revalidation

An administrative action within the validity period of a rating or approval,
allowing the holder to continue exercising the privileges for a further specified

period, provided certain requirements are met.
