                The pistons are connected to the crankshaft via the connecting rod.


                The camshaft controls the opening and closing of the valves and the ignition
                timing.


                The valves are hidden inside the upper part of the cylinder.


                The oil ring must take oil up into the cylinder to lubricate the walls.


                The  piston  rings  ensure  tightness  so  that  the  air/fuel  mixture  can  be
                compressed.

                8.8.3    4-stroke principle
