6.11.2.1 Emergency landing on land
When selecting a location for an emergency landing, it is important to look for
a large field close to the aircraft's position.
Search from the aircraft and outward.
It is best if you can make it look like a normal landing pattern.
It can be difficult to judge a direct approach to an area ahead compared to the
aircraft's position.
On the illustration, you can see a possible approach procedure for an
emergency landing.
