1.5.1.2 Airspace classes

ICAO operates with seven different airspace classes, labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, and

G. The difference between the airspace classes is that there is more air traffic

control and stricter rules in the first airspace classes compared to the last ones.

In Denmark, only classes C, D, E, and G are used.

Here is a simple sketch of the

from south to north.

looks like this. Note

that there is class D

airspace in EKKA’s

control zone and

TMA.

EKKA’s TMA extends
up to 3500 MSL.
