9.6 The influence of magnetism on the aircraft
Every aircraft is subject to various disturbing magnetic forces, originating from,
for example, live wires and radio installations.
This magnetic influence on the aircraft will pull the magnetic needle away from
the direction towards magnetic north.
9.6.1 Deviation and compass north
Magnetic fields near the compass can affect the direction the compass needle
shows, and thus not point towards magnetic north.
