Flight Theory 2025 consists of 9 subjects:
1. Aviation Law
2. Human Performance
3. Meteorology
4. Communication**
5. Principles of Flight
6. Operational Procedures
7. Flight Performance and Planning *
8. Aircraft General Knowledge
9. Navigation *
*For the subjects Navigation and Flight Performance and Planning, you will need some pilot equipment: a
plotter, chart, and a navigation computer. These can be purchased from us as a set: DKK 980, Logbook: DKK
150.
When you have passed the subject Communication, you will also have completed the theoretical part of the
radio certificate, which is required before your first solo flight. You can begin our radio course once you have
passed the school’s internal exams in Communication.
The e-book, e-learning modules, and Classmaker questions are prepared in accordance with
the requirements of EU Regulation 1178/2011 Part FCL.
The order of the material follows the EASA syllabus for PPL(A) theory.
However, we recommend starting with Subject 8 Aircraft General Knowledge. After that, it is
beneficial to proceed with Subjects 5 Principles of Flight and 6 Operational Procedures. Before taking the
exam in Subject 7 Flight Performance and Planning, we recommend completing Subjects 3 Meteorology
and 9 Navigation.
To get the most out of Subjects 7 Flight Performance and Planning and 9 Navigation, we recommend
using the VFG (Visual Flight Guide), ICAO chart for Denmark, measuring tools, and a navigation
computer. The VFG is also recommended for Subject 1 Aviation Law. Subject 4 Communication can
be taken at any time.
Exams are held in all the above subjects. Each exam consists of 16 questions with 35 minutes
allocated for completion. A minimum score of 75% (12 correct answers) is required to pass
each exam. All exams must be passed within 18 months from the first taken exam. If a subject
is not passed by the 4th attempt, all exams must be retaken.
The validity of the passed theory is 24 months, meaning you have 24 months after the last
passed exam to complete your practical training.
Practical training can be started at any time, but before the first solo flight, you must have
passed internal exams in all theory subjects and obtained a radio license.
