Air Law
This flight plan must be submitted at least 60 minutes before departure,
whether submitted in writing or by phone to the Briefing Office.
A flight plan can be submitted during the flight, but it must be submitted in such
a way that air traffic control has at least 10 minutes before reaching the entry
point into the control area, or before crossing an airway.
When departing from an aerodrome with air traffic control service, the service
provider will activate the flight plan. If departing from an aerodrome without
air traffic control, you are required to notify the air traffic service unit (FIS unit)
as soon as possible after departure.
1.4.3.2 Shortened flight plan
In some cases, a shortened flight plan can be submitted.
A shortened flight plan must include:
- Call sign or registration
- Aircraft type
- Speed, if relevant
- Flight rules (IFR/VFR)
- Entry or exit point
- Desired flight altitude, if relevant
- Estimated time of arrival (ETA) for incoming aircraft
- Number of persons onboard (POB)
1.4.3.3 Changes to the flight plan
When performing a flight according to a flight plan, it must be followed.
Therefore, air traffic control must be informed if:
- You deviate from the flight path or altitude
- The groundspeed deviates by more than 5% from the calculated speed
