                1.5.6.6    Airfield areas
                There  are  different
                areas at the airfield.
                You  can  see  a  simple
                sketch here.
                 -  Runway – where aircraft take off and land.
                 -  Taxiway  –  used  for  aircraft  movement.  You  may  encounter  the  term
                     "Taxiway" at larger airports; it's just the English term for a taxiway.
                 -  Apron – used for passenger boarding and disembarking. The apron is also
                     called the ramp.
                 -  Movement  Area  –  consists  of  runways  and  taxiways  necessary  for
                     movement to and from the runway.
                     Other secondary taxiways, such as those between hangars and fuel tanks,
                     are not part of the movement area.

                1.5.7     Runways and runway lighting
                Runways at airports can look very different, from parallel asphalt runways to
                grass  or  gravel  runways.  At  approved  airports,  there  are  requirements  for
                runway design, lengths, and strength.
                We will now look at runway numbering and runway systems.

                Below is an example of an asphalt runway.
