BREAKING DOWN THE BARRIERS
The only and absolute requirement of working at DJB is excellence – all other barriers have been removed. As such, 55% of our Partner- level solicitors are women, something we are very proud of given the industry average is just
33% and 23% or lower for magic circle rms. ‘
We wish to recruit the very best people from the widest pool of talent available. Nurturing working environments which encourage, value and manage diversity is essential to achieving this. DJB has pioneered exible working practises over the last 20 years to deliver top quality services to prestigious clients whilst empowering our solicitors to work in a way that ts their lifestyles.
We recognise that improving diversity is a continual work in progress. Whilst we are renowned for the experience of our legal team, we welcome applications from solicitors with more than 5 years’ PQE with specialist skills. We have a number of initiatives aimed at continually improving the diverse backgrounds of our staff, such as our graduate management trainee programme which offers an alternative non-practising path for law graduates.
We are committed to our policy of treating all our employees equally. These principles also apply to the manner in which we treat our clients, business partners and visitors.
If it wasn’t for DJB I probably wouldn’t be able to work as a lawyer right now. Their exibility in allowing me to work from home has enabled me to balance my career with family life. Everything is set up to be accessed remotely – and it works! With access to top clients such as DSTL, Highways England and the Met O ce, I’m continuing to develop professionally whilst also being able to pursue my personal passions, such as my study for an MA in Art and Science. Other law rms have never actually made that possible.
