MAEVE BONNER
PQE: 27 years
Maeve joined DJB in 2013 following a career at Trowers and Hamlin and specialises in property litigation. She has notably: advised landlords in relation to tenants’ insolvency and how best to minimise losses; successfully defended a £1.5m dilapidations claim of a well-known property in London; and challenged a local authority through Judicial Review proceedings on its decision to refuse commercial occupier empty rates relief.
MICHAEL WEAR
PQE: 26 years
Michael joined DJB in 2011 and is an agricultural specialist. His experience includes: advising on the acquisition and sale of farms and other heritage property; determination of and grant of farm business tenancies for public sector bodies in order to improve the return on their agricultural estate or achieve other environmental bene ts; and advising Natural England in relation to ensuring that Single Payment Entitlements are transferred to them on the termination of its grazing agreements.
MARY ANDERSON
PQE: 36 years
Mary joined DJB in 2018 following a career at Mischon de Reya, Reed Smith and Shoosmiths. Mary has notably advised on: numerous investment and development matters for Lloyds Bank plc, Handlesbanken, RBS/Nat West and more; reviewing all aspects of development, construction and leases for the Ricoh Arena on behalf of Clydesdale Bank; and large-scale developments for Gallagher Estates, Countryside Properties plc and Bloor Homes.
NEIL TINDALL
PQE: 22 years
Neil joined DJB as a Consultant in 2016 following a career at Pinsent Masons. Neil specialises in large infrastructure projects and construction. He has experience in: delivering major projects, public-private partnerships, construction contracts and EU public procurement advice to a national facilities management company; JCT and NEC3 contract terms for schools and housing-related projects; and providing procurement advice to Flintshire County Council on their Strategic Housing and Regeneration programme.
MELANIE GREER-WALKER
PQE: 18 years
Melanie joined DJB in 2018 following a career at Fresh elds Bruckhaus Deringer and in-house at One Housing Group Ltd. Melanie’s career highlights include advising on: the development of The Shard by Sellar Property Group; a 250+ commercial occupier property portfolio as sole solicitor for One Housing Group; a collaborative three-year Development Agreement between Chichester BC and Countryside Properties (UK); and the purchase of a prime mixed-use retail, leisure, of ce and residential development for £26.3m.
NICHOLA GRAY
PQE: 19 years
Nichola joined DJB in 2018 having previously worked at DLA Piper, Knights plc and Pinsent Masons. Notably, Nichola acted as part of the team: advising Cala Group Limited in respect of its acquisition of Banner Homes plc; advising in respect of the sale of Roadchef Limited for £153m; and advising The Prudential in relation to corporate transactions and asset management work. She also undertook asset management work for The Merlin Group theme parks.
