II. Adjective to Describe Animal ( suffix –ful, -ous, -ness)
Adjective ends -ful means full of.
Example: Crocodiles are harmful. (harm+ful harmful)
Adjective ends - less means without
Example: Sloth is powerless (power+less powerless)
Adjective ends –ous means full of, covered with.
Example: Gorilla looks like dangerous
III. Subject-Verb Agreement
Subject Verbs
I/You/We/They do,eat, sleep, speak, hear, write
He/She/It speaks. does, hears, eats, writes
Example : I eat mango
She sleeps twice a day.
Panda eats bamboos everyday
1. Verbs that end in -ch, -o, -sh, -ss, -x, or -z, add -es for third person.
watch => watches
do => does
wash => washes
bless => blesses
fix => fixes
buzz => buzzes
2. Verbs that end in a consonant + y, change the -y to -i and add -es.
study => studies
marry => marries
cry => cries
study => studies
worry => worries
3. Verbs that end in a vowel + y, simply add -s.
play => plays
stay => stays
destroy => destroys
