Rifleman William Snow

of fitting to bring in the feelings of Christmas during WW2. Yet
        again, not an easy task.

So we have our characters, we have our outline and we have
our setting. All that is left is a bit of grey matter and an awful
lot of time to develop my tale. The more I wrote the story, the
more it turned into a book. So I decided to ditch the idea of the
musical, even though I had written all of the songs long before I
got to this point, and write my first novel. This in itself opened
up yet another can of worms. Writing a novel isn’t just a case
of writing a story, as I have learned very quickly. Word counts,
layouts, publishing, you name it, I’ve had to learn it.
I’m not going to spoil the story by giving away any juicy bits
but I will say that the online version, at the very least should be
available to download as an ebook by Christmas 2020. That is
as long as the trade winds are favourable and everything goes
        according to plan.

So there we have it. The story of William Snow and The Spirit
of Christmas 1940. I do hope you’ve all enjoyed reading about
how everything has come together over the past three months
and I do hope you take a little time to read the book once it
        comes out.
To put the final touches to the story, I’m hoping to visit the
grave of William Snow in France when and if the lockdown is
lifted. If possible, I will leave the very first copy of the book
there to say thank you for not only being such a big influence in
my life but most importantly, to pay tribute for his sacrifice in
        the name of freedom.
