The room is getting smaller
                        The walls are closing in
The cold bites deep inside me
Where do I begin Christmas Past

I sit here watching snow fall
                       Remembering times past
Of love and fun and Christmas cheer
                       Times now in distant past

                                 But

I’ll sing you a song of those days
Of family food and fun Every year I write a couple of cheery Christmas
And pretend for these three minutes songs, which my wife and I perform and send as a
That they’ve only just begun video to our friends, like a modern day Christmas
                                                               card.
The wrapping presents, the Christmas tree
The anticipation on Christmas eve I started thinking about it just the other day and I
But now the kids are grown up had another idea for now. Last year around
You took your chance to leave November as we were digging out our Christmas
songs and starting to practice, a member of our
You left me in the season musical group stopped coming and sent me and
Thats supposed to be of cheer email.
Leaving me to the ghosts of past
Alone to face my fear He said he has no cheer for Xmas as it has too many
bad memories, so he just disappears for a while. It got
But me thinking and I realised that it is true for many as
well as isolating further some very lonely people.
I’ll sing you a song of those days
Of family food and fun Now i am all in favour of Christmas cheer, but my
And pretend for these three minutes song was written so perhaps we take a small
That they’ve only just begun moments reflection for the people that find
                                                               Christmas a challenge.
                      So while you’re all celebrating
Think for a second of my pain I only wrote the lyrics the day before writing this
Coz there’s hundreds out there like me article so at present the song has no music...
                       All feeling much the same
