Merry Christmas
It's Christmas time, so lets all pray for peace
Families together, and all wars to cease
Light your candles for loved ones up above
Share happiness, joy with those you love
As you all sit, together 'neath the tree
Exchanging gifts, wrapped in finest frippery
And the Christmas cheer, starts to come through
Remember each moment it's special to you
Christmas is time, for families to share
Drawing them closer, to show that they care
Bringing laughter and smiles, to the young and old
With family traditions, for you to uphold
Please take a moment, from your Christmas day
To offer a prayer, for the homeless today
May they all find some peace, and hope and good cheer
And may Christmas be special, for them next year
So here's my wish, going out to you all
Christmas is joy, for the great and the small
But for some on their own, it's a sad sad day
Maybe you can brighten it, in some small way
Merry Christmas, and a happy new year
