cravates, les cadres, mais aussi
tous les objets qui se trouvent
autour de lui (horloge, boites, décoration,etc.),jusqu’àperson-
naliser des animaux grandeur-
nature (Cow Parade, Rhinocéros,
Hippopotame, Cerf et Eléphants).
Depuis 2012, il refait des dessins
l’encre, et a prévu de faire une exposition
inédite du 19 juillet au 20 aout 2017,
à la galerie Pascal Lainé de Ménerbes :
« quand l’art s’emmêle les pinceaux ». n
From primitive painting at the beginning of his career, he quickly adopted “his style“ by placing his paint brush thousands of times on a canvas to create drawings consisting of small colored dots. Pendant quelques années, il a animé le club « La palette et le petit rapin » à Oppède, dont le but était d’initier les enfants de 8 à 12 ans à la peinture.
For a few years, he animated «La palette et le petit rapin» Club in Oppède, whose aim was to introduce children aged 8 to 12 to painting.
En 1984, le célèbre humoriste Michel LEEB qui doit être en spectacle à l’Olympia, entend à la radio qu’il y a une exposition à Paris d’un artiste (presque homonyme) appelé Michel LOEB. Il décide de se rendre à la galerie a n d’y rencontrer cet artiste qui lui a « pris son nom »... et voir ce « qu’il peint » !
De leur rencontre nait une profonde amitié. Michel Loeb invite Michel Leeb dans sa maison d’Oppède et le convainc de devenir le « parrain » de Notre Dame d’Alidon, une petite église en ruine au sommet du vieux village. Michel Leeb achète une propriété et s’installe lui aussi dans le Luberon.
A partir de 1995, il préside le festival d’Oppède qui a lieu chaque été, avec l’unique but de sauvegar- der le patrimoine local grâce à des artistes de grande qualité qui participent bénévolement à la renaissance de cette petite chapelle exceptionnelle.

From their meeting, a deep friendship was born. Michel Loeb invited Michel Leeb to his house in Oppède and convinced him to become the “godfather“ of Notre Dame d’Alidon, a small ruined church at the top of the old village. Michel Leeb bought a property and settled in the Luberon too.
He has been the chairman of the Oppède fes- tival since 1995, which takes place each summer, with the sole aim of safeguarding the local heri- tage thanks to high-quality artists who voluntarily participate in the renaissance of this exceptional little chapel.
