Katie Larmour Leads No. 21 FHOC Past Monmouth 2-1

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – On a sunny Sunday afternoon, No. 21 Rutgers defeated in-state rival Monmouth 2-1
behind two goals from Katie Larmour.
KEY STATS
• Rutgers outshot Monmouth 8-7 and had a 6-5 advantage in corners.
• Gianna Glatz made three saves for the Scarlet Knights.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Rutgers scored in the opening quarter, capitalizing off a well-executed attack penalty corner. Katie Larmour was
stationed at the bottom of the goal and deflected the ball in to give the Scarlet Knights an early 1-0 lead.
The Hawks struck back in the second quarter. Ireen Frenken knocked the ball in off a corner to even the score at 1-1
heading into the halftime break.
In the third quarter, it was a similar corner play that put the Scarlet Knights back in front. Austyn Cuneo took a shot
from the top and Larmour deflected it home for a 2-1 lead.
