Wilton Avoids Upset with Late Rally
After failing to score a goal in the regulation time in both of its games last week, the Wilton High field hockey
team struggled to finish again for most of Tuesday’s game at home against Norwalk.
But facing a 1-0 deficit with under 10 minutes to play, the Warriors answered the call with two late goals to
avoid the upset with a 2-1 win.
The Warriors (11-1-1) remained unbeaten in FCIAC play, at 9-0-1. They were coming off a 0-0 tie with
Ridgefield last Thursday.
Wilton dominated the first half, with a 9-1 edge in penalty corners, but couldn’t finish on a number of golden
