Fortunately for the Warriors, they have several standout players remaining in the fold and leading the team this
year will be the four senior captains: Delaney Baxendale and Kristin Godin (midfielders), Caroline Taverna
        (defense) and Megan Cunningham (forward).

"They are bringing experience back to show the younger players," Hynes said.

Trying to replace someone like Roman-Johnston would be tough for any program but luckily Wilton has junior
Amanda Hendry, Madison's younger sister who served as back-up to Roman-Johnston. She also has experience
having made the U-17 National team squad.

Hynes said she's hoping as the season goes along things will start to click on offense. Wilton's schedule is
littered with tough games, in and out of the FCIAC. The Warriors have a rematch of last year's Class M final
against Lauralton Hall and they'll also play at New York Class A state champion Lakeland. In addition, they'll
face traditional FCIAC powers Darien, Greenwich, Staples and New Canaan and Hynes said Ridgefield will be
        a tough test as well.

As for the 2014 season, Hynes
        said she's hopeful her team
        can maintain its standing in
        the conference and that can
only happen if the players can
        jell. "We have potential, but
we'll take it week by week and
game by game," she said. "It's
        about learning the game and
        learning about each other
        every day."
