Indoor Activity: Shadow play – K1
Shadow play also known as shadow puppetry, is an ancient form of storytelling and
entertainment which uses flat articulated cut-out figures or hands which are held between a
source of light and a translucent screen. The shadow play activity for K1 was related to the
theme of animals. Students listened to the story told by the teacher and enjoyed recreating
the shape of the animals in the form of shadows, with the help of their hands.
Look! I am quite good at this!
Outdoor activity: Simon Says -K3
According to Simon’s instruction our kids had to simulate various animals. They
learnt how to make many animal sounds during the process. The kids had loads of fun.
The cow goes moo moo moo!
