iRAD Software Application – Training Manual

involve a field application that is lite and available on multiple mobile platforms. This
application is to record basic information of the accident, its GIS information and evidences.
Subsequently based on a trigger to the stakeholder Departments, detailed data recording
software application. This software will be linking with the various stakeholder databases in
the State and Nationally. A dashboard for generating reports, performing dynamic queries
and GIS based queries shall be available for the jurisdictional officers.
1.3.1 iRAD Data Transference Workflow
The data transference workflow model adopted in iRAD (Figure 2) is as follows:
1. As soon as an accident is reported, the first responders (Police) will arrive
at the accident scene. The police will use iRAD Application and will record
primary data i.e., accident date & time, GPS location, accident severity,
number of vehicles & people involved (Fatal/Injury) along with relevant
photos and videos of accident scene. The public can also contribute data to
iRAD by reporting details of the accident through the helpline numbers such
as 100, 102, 108. The public can also use road safety applications, public
application, and Sukhad yatra application to report GPS location and
pictures of road quality and the accident scene
