2.4 General Information
• Municipal corporation: is a local government
in India that administers urban areas with a
population of more than one million.
• Municipality: is an urban local body that
administers a city of minimum population of
100,000 but less than 1,000,000. However,
there are exceptions to that, as population
was under 100,000
• Panchayat (Village council) is a basic village
governing institute in Indian villages. It is a
democratic structure at the grass-roots level in
India
➢ Click on Local Body
➢ Dropdown list will be displayed
➢ Select the most appropriate option from dropdown list by clicking radio and click “OK”
to freeze the option or “CANCEL” to go back to General Information Page.
