Bath
Situated on the banks of the flowing River Avon, the Roman city of Bath is instantly recognisable by its exquisitely preserved architecture.
Dominating the skyline is the magnificent Bath Abbey, whose impressive stained glass windows have earned it the nickname “the Lantern of the West.”
The former haunt of Victorian nobility seeking to get away from the hustle and bustle of London, Bath is home to the only remaining Roman Baths in England, which date back to 60 AD. The baths are open to the public and include a museum, which showcases different artefacts recovered from the site including Roman coins and a vast Temple Pediment.
