WEE Battle
Contest
of Brains
Students must perform a song in English. This can be sung karaoke-style or a cappella. Schools are welcome to use musical instruments to accompany their singing. Teams are scored on their showmanship and participation, as well as engagement of audience.
The Battle of Brains consists of a series of mental tasks designed to challenge students on a variety of skills, including logic, memory and spelling.
The tasks will remain a mystery until the day of the competition and will take place in a three to five hour session. Scores will be recorded in the competition booklet.
Think on Your Feet
For this challenge, each team will participate in a series of physical challenges designed to test their physical ability, as well as their teamwork skills. Teams will rotate around a series of stations, with activities ranging from snag golf to archery and obstacle courses.
Teams will receive a score for each individual event, as well as a total score for their performance in the challenge as a whole.
The competitions in the WEE give students the unique opportunity to compete against international students from many different countries.
The competitions are designed to increase students' confidence in the use of the English language, as well as their ability to interact and thrive in an international setting, ultimately preparing them for life in a globalised world.
