Across the Group, our nominated charity activity is going from strength to strength. Over £30,000 has been raised in the last year for our Group charities!
Thank you to everyone who has donated and taken part in local charity activities and initiatives.
In this edition of Inform we will update you on our charity partnerships.
Manderson House - Alzheimer’s Society
Manderson House has been busy, successfully raising money for our staff nominated charity the Alzheimer’s Society. We have taken part in Memory Walks, ran the Brighton Marathon, cycled from Land’s End to John o’Groats and participated in lots of bake sales. As we head into the festive period, we will be hosting our annual Christmas Bake Off and Christmas Jumper Day and we also have a charity raffle with some festive goodies up for grabs. So far, we have raised £5,500!
The charity committee is busy planning 2020 activities which will include a range of challenges, quizzes and much, much more - watch this space!
Airport Road West - Mindwise
In Belfast, the team’s efforts are being directed to helping our nominated charity refurbish Inverary House which provides accommodation for up to 12 individuals who are homeless, have a mental health issue, or drug and/or alcohol addiction. So far, we have raised over £7,800 for the charity and refurbished the premises communal areas, bedrooms and kitchen.
In the run-up to Christmas we will be recreating
our Christmas Market with a range of craft,
jewellery and food stalls where you can pick
up some fab Christmas presents. To get everyone in the festive mood the ARW choir will be performing Christmas carols and chart toppers! We will also have our annual raffle, Christmas Jumper Day and Last Man Standing Competition. There are lots of activities planned for 2020.
Bottlegreen - Longfield Hospice
To date we have raised over £2,500 for Longfield Hospice with our Burger and Cake Days proving to be a massive hit.
