The recreational facilities in greater Mangrove Swamp
are fairly scattered across the site, but very limited
along the river. The density of the houses in the
informal settlement has hindered the development of
recreational sites, and on the formal settlement they
are poorly maintained and disconnected which yields
the swamp as unwanted destination or node, and is
underappreciated by the public.
