Astra Palace
Playground for all ages. A crystal carousel of fun floating through space.
My intent for the Astra Palace was to create a family-oriented recreational space center that caters to the space hotels already in orbit. The station has four distinct zones; The Towers, The Holodeck, The Observation Dome, and The Rings. Guests will have the ability to plan their trips in advance, scheduling shows, dinner reservations, and holodeck time slots, childcare and much more so their day of fun is hassle free. The narrative of the station is based around a sci-fi novel written by Andre Norton in the 1950s called Star Born. Norton was one of the first female sci-fi writers to receive a number of awards in the genre and was known for creating detailed worlds beyond our own in her stories.
