The culinary exploration center, Peng, is a platform in space that provides learning and tasting opportunities for alien food which can’t be actualized on earth. Peng is inspired by ripples and can be perceived as a symbol for soup being ladled out. When the fluid broth cascades from the ladle and flows into the bowl, ripples are created naturally from the center. This rippling effect will later be translated into the floor plan. This sensitive state of nature entrusts our hopes, and the undulating energy of the liquid symbolizes that the impact of this new space food exploration center will flow out into the larger currents of the universe.
