TRAY IS BROUGHT OUT FROM QUARANTINE 1. Pharmacy technician goes to quarantein room wearing gloves and mask 2. Unopened tray placed on DIRTY table for processing 3. Outer bag(s) removed and discarded 4. All unopened ziplock bags to have drugs removed and placed on dirty table 5. Wipe individually with hospital approved wipe and set onto adjacent CLEAN table 6. Inside of tray wiped and placed on CLEAN table to a
OUTSIDE THE PATIENT ROOM 1. Place tray into a clear plastic bag (2nd bag if tray was in patient room) and tie closed 2. Clean hands 3. Remove face shield and mask following PPE removal procedures 4. Clean hands and don new gloves to wipe exterior of second bag with hospital approved wipe 5. Tie bag closed 6. INSIDE THE PATIENT ROOM WHILE IN FULL PPE 1. Unopened drugs to be placed back into the tray 2. Code Tray placed into Isolation bag (located within the code tray ) and tie closed 3. Wipe bag with hospital approved wipe 4. Remove gloves and gown as per PPE removal 5. Clean your hands 6.
