There is no single event while working in the

emergency department (ED) can be narrowed down

to be an absolute favourite. The collection of

experiences and how they impact my purpose,

meaning, growth and learning that makes my

memories fond and invaluable. These experiences

entail meeting people of all walks of life beyond

what the imagination can possibly think of. As

vulnerability can be so fragile at times, patients

openly invite me into their world of challenges and

work together to develop clinical outcomes. I am

blessed to encounter those who I would likely never

meet outside of this clinical role. Amongst the high

intensity that the ED brings, I am happy that I

service and advocate for geriatric emergency.
