Grit Classifier

The grit classifier provides a cyclonic vortex, like a water funnel, resulting in heavy

grit particles being slung to the outside of the classifier and the water funneled to the

inside of the classifier.

The water exits up through the classifier and the grit is deposited at the bottom of the

funnel.

The Operator should monitor grit water separation closely as grit classifiers can be

impeded from grit separation by a jammed soda can.
