        As the disease progresses there is:

        •    progression of the muscle spasms
        •    rigid extension of the limbs causing difficulty in moving and turning; affected animals

             may adopt a ‘saw-horse’ stance

        •    progressive stiffness and extension of the neck making it difficult to eat from the floor
