WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH HORST CONSTRUCTION

Pastor Aaron Henning and State College Alliance Church were
looking for a construction team to help expand their church and
school. Turning to Horst, they found a partner that focused on
creating relationships and putting their needs at the forefront.

“The relationships we’ve built with them as an organization have
been really very special,” shares Henning.

And with a large, growing congregation and affiliated Christian
school, the church needed a partner that could take change and
lead the expansion. “We were able to rely on Horst to say ‘we’re Pastor Aaron Henning
taking care of the design aspects, we’re listening, and being State College Alliance Church
responsive to what the needs of the church actually are.’ Horst
did a great job of walking us through those things.”

When asked what advice he’d give to other churches looking to expand, he says to balance big faith and
stewardship, understand that it’s a process, anticipate challenges, and get the right voices in the room. “That
happens at the local level, getting the right people from your congregation, but it absolutely happens when
you’re looking for the right builder, designer, or in this case design-build team that can come and walk you
through this process,” shares Henning. ““You’ve got to find that right partner if you’re going to have a good,
successful project.”
