Calvary Church selected Horst Construction as the General Contractor for their • 200,000 sf New Church
200,000 sf new church designed to accommodate their growing congregation • 2,000-seat Contemporary
in Lancaster, PA. The facility incorporates a large contemporary sanctuary Sanctuary
with seating for over 2,000, small traditional chapel, nursery, classrooms, • Traditional Chapel
gymnasium, commercial kitchen, and large dining/meeting space. • Nursery

The intricate design of the 150’ span sanctuary required the steel girder • Classrooms
trusses to be delivered in pieces and then welded on-site before installation. • Commercial Kitchen
The sanctuary design also included a cantileavered balcony that hung over • Large Dining Facility with
the bearing wall by 20’ which required tie-in to beams in the sanctuary and moveable walls
the narthex. Detailed coordination and project phasing allowed the project to
remain on schedule and managed efficiently.
