Helen grew up in Los Angeles, California. In 1994, following the Northridge

earthquake, Helen moved to Northern California leaving her mother and two sisters
in Southern California.
Helen and her husband John (Specs) Lanham, along with their sweet girl fur-baby
Luci, now reside in Auburn, California.
After working in the restaurant industry for 30 years as a Chef and ending her
career as the VP of Operations of Employee Benefits, Helen felt she needed a change.

With over 3,000 employees in her charge, the requests to help during the death of
someone was both heart breaking and constant. But what did she want to do to help
them?
Working with the restaurant employees, and seeing their pressing need for
affordable life insurance, Helen felt it was time to continue her need to help others
feel safe, secure, and have good lives.
With this in mind, she decided to make a career providing and educating people on
the need for affordable Life Insurance and Long-Term Care.

Since this leap of faith, Helen has worked in the Insurance Industry for 20 years
specializing in Employee Benefits, Life, Long Term Care, and Medicare.

It was discovered at the age of 59 ½, after seeing a doctor for a constant pain in her
side, Helen suffered from an extremely rare growth in her main artery that was
going to cut off the blood flow to her heart. The only option to determine what
exactly was happening was to have surgery.
The procedure was intense, as she had an incision from her chest down to remove
all internal organs to get to the growth. The doctors discovered it was stage 1
cancer.
