Mott MacDonald

Situation

Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management, and development consulting firm with 180
principal offices in 50 countries and 16,000 employees. It is one of the earliest adopters of Microsoft
Viva – an employee experience platform that brings together communications, knowledge, learning,
resources, and insights.
Challenge

To fully leverage Microsoft Viva, Mott MacDonald needed a solution to meet their immediate need to
migrate existing content from legacy ECM and other content systems, as well as supporting contin-
uous content migrations. A primary project objective was quality control for information to ensure
content from legacy systems would be findable in the new Microsoft 365 environment. Additional
requirements included the need to implement a cost-effective, scalable solution to segment inactive
10 and active (project) content.
Result

Mott MacDonald was able to successfully move 240TB of legacy content to Microsoft 365 and Azure,
achieving project milestones and helping the project team meet and exceed their objectives.

Solution

Azure Cloud archive and moving active content to Microsoft 365. As a result, Mott MacDonald has a
