Confirm real identities

Onfido digitally proves a person’s real identity, giving companies the
assurance they need to onboard customers remotely and securely.

Using advanced facial scanning, Onfido compares facial biometrics to a photo on an ID and generates a
score based on the similarity of the faces. This means that you can be confident about the identity of the
person you’re transacting with. Biometrics add a layer of protection against stolen IDs and impersonation
attacks. Onfido offers both selfie and video facial similarity checks, allowing you to optimize the user journey
based on your risk preferences.

Super recognizers

When the AI cannot provide a conclusive face
match result, Onfido uses super recognizers.
These are highly specialized individuals who
comprise 1% of the population and can match

faces with an accuracy rate of 98%. The
addition of these super recognizers makes our
tech—and your results—better. They review
cases where AI can’t return a conclusive result
and train Onfido’s algorithms.
