Monitor and govern access

Maintain control by monitoring user and role

level access and enforcing granular policies

With 48 percent of businesses opting to store their classified and most important
data on the cloud, adopting a comprehensive and reliable data governance
                                              1
solution is critical to keeping it all secure. And with a steep rise in cyberattacks
in recent years, a lack of access intelligence and proper controls can lead to the
admittance of unauthorized users, likely resulting in security and privacy breaches.

With Securiti, organizations can monitor user- and role-level access to sensitive
data across all of their data systems in Azure. By enforcing granular policies,

organizations can enable internal and external data sharing by checking if a
particular data set has sensitive data and enabling access to authorized users
only, while ending excessive access by applying least-privileged-access policies.

                            Case study: SmartRent

                            SITUATION
SmartRent is a smart home automation provider to property management companies and
homebuilders. With a broad portfolio of products, they make property management easier with
seamless visibility and control over digital assets as well as an elevated consumer experience with
all-in-one home control offerings. As of 2020, they protected more than 150,000 homes across
14 US states with plans to expand their business in the UK, Canada, Germany, and Singapore.

                            CHALLENGE
As SmartRent accelerated its growth in the US and abroad, it wanted to ensure compliance with
local and global privacy laws. With global expansion, SmartRent expected a significant increase in
the number of data subject rights (DSRs). They relied on a system of emails, ticketing systems, and
slack channels to fulfill DSRs. However, these manual processes led to missed requests and delays in
fulfillment, resulting in poor customer experience and an increased risk of compliance violations.

                            RESULT
When SmartRent deployed Securiti’s AI-Powered PrivacyOps solution, they were able to consolidate
DSRs, Consent, and Vendor management into a single dashboard, reducing total cost of ownership
by more than 50 percent. They also saw a significant improvement in customer trust, with more
than 90 percent of customers granting consent on their website. With Securiti, SmartRent is well
positioned to comply with all major data privacy regulations as they expand their business globally.
