ABOUT
GABRIEL TRAMULLAS GENTET
Born in Houilles (Paris - France) in 1976, Gabriel moved with his family to Jaca, a village in northern Spain, where he started practicing figure skating. At the early age of 14, inspired by the mountains surrounding him, he decided to try free climbing. For more than 15 years, he dedicated his life to this sport, setting routes of 8B+/C (5.13D/5.14A) and competing at the regional, national, and inter- national level, while claiming several prizes along the way.
Street Workout and Calisthenic Certified Trainer, and Professional Firefighter from 2005 to date, in 2006, after watching a contemporary circus show, Gabriel felt it was time to explore his artistic and creative side within the aerial acrobat- ics world. He started practicing aerial silks, but quickly moved on to rope and straps. After taking courses and workshops in Spain for over 3 years, he decided to expand his knowledge and for the next 4 years he travelled frequently to Montreal, Canada, to train with instructors and graduates from the renowned École National de Cirque de Montréal (ENC), such as Yury Bozyan, Victor Fo- mine, Véronique Thibeault, Anouk Vallé, and Jonathan Fortin, to name a few. While in Montreal, he completed more than 800 hours of private instruction focusing on technique, conditioning, creativity and artistry, and teaching strat- egies, on both rope and straps.
In 2012 Gabriel created “7WW”, the first piece of a rope trilogy act. “UFR” fol- lowed next in 2013, and the final piece, “REQUIEM”, was completed in 2014. While truly enjoying the fusion be- tween athleticism and art provided by his rope performances, Gabriel decided he wanted to shift his focus toward helping aerial acrobats achieve their training goals.
