ACTIVITY 6
The pictures are in order but the text is not. Match the parts of the text to the pictures:
a. Breathe into the child, but not too strongly. (A small child´s lungs cannot hold
your entire breath). Take your lips away and let the child´s chest go down
while you take your next breath. Use fairly quick, short breaths, and keep it up
until the child can breathe by himself or until help comes, as long as two
hours.
b. Open the air passages by pulling the neck up and putting the head down very
far.
c. If the child has got water in his lungs, first get it out by putting him on his
stomach for ten second with his hips a foot higher than his head (over your
knee, on a box, etc)
d. Keep the child´s chin pushed up all the time, to keep the air passages open.
e. With a child´s small face you can breathe into nose and mouth together.
