On 23 October 2012 BONOWI celebrated its 25-year anniversary. This occa-
®
sion is a great reason for us to thank the people who are most important to our
company: you, our customers. Only through our shared dialogue, purchasing
and the use of our products have we been and are we in the position of being
able to exist over all of these years and to continually develop further. We are
pursuing our goal in Mainz with an excellent team: the highest quality with the
realisation of innovations and concepts.
That which started 25 years ago with the BONOWI RMS (Multipurpose
®
Rescue Baton) has been further developed on a consistent basis, making us the
market leaders in the area of police batons in Germany and many neighbouring
countries. The quality of our products coupled with application-tactical advan-
tages has enabled us to increase our brand profile beyond European borders
which means that in recent years we have been able to count authorities and
companies from countries such as China, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates,
Ecuador and many other places as our customers.
Even though our core area of expertise is in the area of batons, BONOWI offers
®
an increasingly wide range of products and services. In addition to the latest
handcuffs we also develop body protection systems that are in successful use
in police and military units across Europe. The development of our self-inflating
ballistic protective blanket is setting new standards in the field of ballistics. We
are especially proud of having equipped the German Military [Bundeswehr] with
an ultramodern camera system which is to be used abroad as a visual aid for
vehicle inspections from 2013 onwards.
In addition to our products, the BONOWI training programme has also been

continuously updated and adapted to the requirements of a modern police
force. Our successful 3-stage BONOWI EKA (extendable baton) training con-
®
cept is now not only used in almost every region in Germany, it is also used by
police units both in and beyond Europe.
