Activity 6.2
Now it's time to put your skills into practice.
The teacher will provide you with various
scenario topics or contexts. Choose one
scenario and imagine that you must deliver a
short message or notice related to that
situation. Use the basic vocabulary we have
learned to create your message. Feel free to
work in pairs or small groups to brainstorm
ideas.
Here are some examples of the topic:
Your school is organizing a field trip to a local museum. Create a short
message to inform all students about the trip and a notice to be displayed on
the school bulletin board.
Your school is hosting a fundraising event for a charitable cause. Create a
short message to invite all students and a notice to be distributed to teachers
and staff.
Your school is starting a recycling program. Create a short message to
encourage students to participate and a notice to be posted in each classroom
You are home alone and your parent gives you a message
For example, imagine you need to inform your classmates about an upcoming
field trip. Your short message could be:
"Attention, classmates! We have an exciting field trip next week to the local
zoo. Please bring your permission slips and the IDR. 50.000 for the entrance
fee. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes!"
