                               Past Continous Tense



          When we retell the experiences or events that were ongoing

          in the past we use a past continuous tense. There are 3 usage
          of past continuous tense :

              To express actions that were ongoing in the past
                 Ex : He was playing tennis yesterday.

              To retell two or more ongoing past actions at the same
              time

                 Ex : She was washing clothes while he was eating dinner.
              As a time expression

                 Ex : He was driving car at 05.00pm yesterday.


















   There are three forms of past continuous
   tense, which are like the picture beside

        It is also important to know that the

        usage of was/were are dependent on
        the subject of the sentence:

             Was   : I. She, He, It
             Were  : You, We, They
