The Investigations Division is comprised almost entirely of detectives,
organized into three work groups: Violent Crimes; Property Crimes; and the
Special Investigations Unit. The Investigations Commander has command
oversight of specialized inter-agency investigative teams, including the
Interagency Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) and the Westside Interagency
Narcotics (WIN) team. WCSO also collaborates with federal law enforcement
task forces such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Marshal Service
and Homeland Security Investigations.

1. Enhance community relationships with a focus on crime prevention and
reduction initiatives to create a safe community.
2. Support WCSO operations through a process of gathering and analyzing

information for dissemination of useful intelligence.
3. Establish a network of resources and tools necessary to effectively and
efficiently collect and analyze digital evidence for community partners.
